Join the team at the Isle of Wight's first purpose built 4 star Hotel due to open July 2008.
The foundations are laid, the hotel structure is evolving daily, the interior designers are creating an ambience that will represent a luxurious, contemporary lifestyle and everyone involved is feeling the excitement of this being a major asset to the island.
The lake position, 45 ensuite rooms, suites, conference and leisure facilities, brasserie, a la carte restaurant and 17acres of countryside will be a welcome addition to the commercial and tourism industry. BUT we believe the staff at the new Lakeside Park Hotel will be the heart of the business, so we aim to recruit, train and develop the very best people available. JOBS
We are looking for:
Sous Chef
The ideal Sous Chef will have previous 3 or 4 star hotel experience or worked within quality restaurants, to a rosette standard.
The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting in maintaining high levels of hygiene and health and safety and will be responsible for junior staff development and ensuring high levels of food standards are achieved.
The appropriate candidate must be passionate and have the ability to cope under pressure.
The Sous Chef will report directly to the Head Chef and be prepared to cover for the Head Chef on days off..
Chef De Parties
Your role will be to support the Kitchen in achieving its departmental goals through effective co-ordination and planning of tasks. You will be responsible for the production of food ensuring that the food meets quality standards. You will be responsible for aiding in the training of staff by passing on knowledge and skills to assist them in their development.
The job is to supervise the chef de partie's and commis chef to ensure food standards are high.
The ideal candidate will oversee all food production by commis chefs and deputise in the sous chef's absence.
Commis Chef
As a Commis Chef you will assist the Head Chef, Sous Chef and chef de partie in the cooking and preparation of the cuisine on offer from the menu.
You will need at least 1 years experience of working within high quality three or four star kitchens.
Food Services Team Members
As a food services team member you could be working in the Bar to serving customers in the Brasserie and waiting on in the Fine Dining Restaurant, the ideal persons will be outgoing, friendly and passionate about service, experience in fine dining an advantage but not essential as in-house training will be instrumental in the development of the hotel.
Leisure / Spa Assistants
To work in the hotel's Spa, you will have knowledge of pool health and safety along with a great natural ability in customer care and service, be outgoing and friendly enabling you to generate a friendly atmosphere within the Spa, with an ability to organise activities for guests and members alike.
